GenNext’s BATL for Mental Health was an axe-traordinary success.
We had a fantastic time testing our axe-throwing skills, enjoying friendly competition, and most importantly, raising funds and awareness for mental health. Together, we raised $11,768.82 for community-based mental health programs, making a real difference for local people.
Krackers Katering, a social enterprise through Causeway Work Centre, brought delicious snacks and shared a bit about their work in partnership with United Way East Ontario. Krackers supports individuals facing barriers to employment, including those with mental health challenges.
It’s all about philanthropy and fun
A heartfelt thank you to our 18 teams and congratulations to all our prize winners! Your support and enthusiasm helped us make a positive impact in the community. Together, we’re building a stronger, healthier region for everyone.

Mental health matters
You’ve heard the stat before; one in five people struggle with their mental health. But when someone’s going through a tough time, it can affect all of us. Nurturing our mental health is essential for our well-being, that’s why United Way funds accessible, affordable, community-based mental health programs, so everyone can thrive. GenNext events like this one help us support these local initiatives and create lasting change.
